Another remote update on my way back to the US, this time! I am now sitting in the international lounge at the London Heathrow airport, waiting for my flight back to Los Angeles which is scheduled to take off in a couple of hours.

I have not been to this airport in a few years, but the lounge looks just like your average mall! To kill time, I bought an hour of Internet access at one of the hotspots here. Really quite nice: comes with a desk, power for the laptop, and a chair.

The trip back is going well so far. My plane even landed here 30 minutes early. I should be back in LA later this evening!

I am now awaiting to board my plane to Copenhagen here in Stockholm, on my way of my trip home in France where I'll arrive in the middle of the afternoon. It has been a very interesting and surprisingly hassle-free trip in Scandinavia. I took lots of pictures, unfortunately I only got to visit the cities at night, days are short here! Stockholm is a very nice big town, especially the old town part which we walked through last night. Too bad most shops were closed. The people here are very friendly, all speak English which is very convenient, and all the places we've been to felt very safe and clean.

It's nice to see wireless Internet so pervasive over here. On this trip I have been able to get online from the airplane, train, hotels and airport here. Really cool, especially to place cheap phone calls over Skype!

The next week should be mostly about relaxing at home with my family. I don't have much planned but it will be nice to be home!

So it appears I am indeed flying out to Europe tomorrow. It will start with a business trip through Denmark and Sweden, and will end with a vacation back home in France at the end of the week.

Only thing that is certain at this point is that I am leaving from LAX to Copenhagen tomorrow afternoon. The rest of the details yet have to be ironed out, especially my return trip, but I should be back around the 24 or 25 of this month. Talk about last minute preparations... Not to mention I don't have quite enough warm clothing for these countries!
