Somebody pointed out to me the NINJAM project yesterday. This looks really pretty cool. It's free (as in speech) and the client program is tiny.

I have been looking for something like that for a while, a simple piece of free software that allows musicians to jam together over the Internet. I want to give it a shot, and I'm seriously thinking about hosting my own server. I'm even hacking around their source code right now to make it more Linux-friendly. Could be a cool pet project.

Anyway, if there are any other musicians here that would be interested in jamming with me or others one of these days, check this out and give me a shout! :)

UPDATE: I am now running an experimental NINJAM server on megastep.org:2050 !
