Google your name and "needs" and select the top 5 funniest selections.
And I get the following:
- Stephane needs a woman and he has come to the right place. They're quite cheap. We are going to buy a bong and get STONED! Again.
- I do think Stephane needs to work on his English a bit though.
- Maybe Stephane needs to do some research before asking questions, as he is being smacked down now has become a daily occurrence.
- With childlike innocence, Gondry shows that Stephane needs to use his imagination in order to communicate and love.
- In fact, I was just saying to my hubby yesterday that Stephane needs a makeover. Perhaps a shorter, edgier "do". And some trendy new glasses!

What is your username?
megastep, duh! What is even the point of this question? What's next? What is your quest?
Write a little paragraph about your name, why you chose it, what it means to you, etc.
Ah yes, there is quite a long and cheesy story behind this username. It has been my online identity pretty much since the beginning, when I was still a kid frequenting chat rooms over the Minitel back in France. Which, by the way, was a very expensive habit that drove my dad mad quite a few times. :)
Believe it or not, and I may sound even more like a computer geek after this, but it was actually taken from my favorite personal computer at the time. My first computer was an Atari ST, and for many years as a teenager I was a big Atari fan. I eventually got an Atari 520 STe with one megabyte of RAM (which was huge at the time!). Put the two together... MEGASTe. Add a P at the end, and it coincides with the beginning of my first name, Stéphane. Yes, that cheesy.
So for the longest time I was known as MEGASTeP in many chat rooms. I was even being called this way by my friends in real life for a few years while in college. I still use that nickname on IRC, though I tend to get rid of the screaming capitals these days. Decreases the lame factor.
I bought the megastep.org domain name years ago and have been hosting it as my main email relay and Web site. The .com domain was already taken by some marketing (i.e. spam) company. I still use the lowercase megastep as a login on most sites, when I can get it. Hence it was the natural choice for my LJ username!
So yeah, nicknames DO tend to stick around!
What would you change your name to, if you were changing it?
Probably something witty, clever and/or funny. Definitely not something related to my computers. Maybe angryfrenchman since I actually own that domain name and it currently points to my LJ.
What is your favorite username?
Meh. i don't pay much attention to those, really. I can't say I really have any strong preference for any. The person behind it is usually more interesting! :)
Now, tag five other unfortunates whose username you would like to hear about.
I don't believe in labels or tagging. Do as you wish!

Steve Vai
You are Steve Vai! Formerly of Whitesnake, you were a pupil of Joe Satriani. You went solo and created your own special brand of intriquite music. You and Joe have very similar styles, both very upbeat and very emotional. You and Joe tour regularily, and have millions of adoring fans.

LJ Interests meme results
- california:
I loved California since the first time I came here a few years ago, so it's only natural that it ended up in my interests. - europe:
That's where I am from. It's also a very interesting place to visit, and to live. - guitars:
That much should be obvious to anybody following my LJ. I currently own 3 guitars, plus one bass guitar. And a consequential amount of related gear. - jazz fusion:
My interest in that kind of music has grown quickly after I discovered a lot of talented musicians in that genre, and my addiction to the jazz club that is the Baked Potato in L.A. is only proof of that. - lord of the rings:
I liked the movies. Still haven't got to read the novels in full though. - mp3s:
Hah. How else would I discover all the weird shit I listen to? - philosophy:
The quest for wisdom should be natural and never-ending, methinks. - rhapsody:
By this keyword, I actually mean the Italian symphonic-power-speed-hollywood-metal band of the name. Cheesy beyond all comprehension. - southern california:
Well, I live in L.A., so there. - the simpsons:
Loved the series ever since I was a kid watching the French version of the show. Still watching it religiously to this day, even though it declined significantly, but I am now familiar enough with the original version to enter into quote battles.
